There are many ways to be involved at Generations, and volunteers are always needed and appreciated. Get involved today!

Become a Volunteer

We ask that all volunteers take a “Volunteer Orientation” session to learn about Generations’ rules and to ensure the comfort level of everyone involved. Please contact Pat@generationsgroup.com or 864-243-5557, ext. 274 to schedule a Volunteer Orientation.   Please let us know if you have a group of 10 or more and we will be glad come to your church or organization to do the Orientation.

Join the Volunteer Committee

The Volunteer Committee meets quarterly to plan activities throughout the year and to brainstorm new ways to help our boys get the most from our program. We also think about new ways to spread the word about Generations.

Host a STAR Party

Looking for a fun way to interact with our boys? Sponsor a STAR party! Held each Friday for boys who have maintained safe behaviors, the two-hour STAR parties are a way to reward boys’ progress in our program. Past favorites have included karaoke, bingo, sports competitions, or pizza and a movie.

Visit a Resident

Sometimes it’s the time we give that means the most. Through the Volunteer Visitors Program, you can visit our campus and spend time with a boy who doesn’t get a lot of visits from own family due to distance or lack of involvement.

Guest Speakers

Interested in being a guest speaker? We often need speakers for events like Black History Month or Fire Prevention Week, but you’re welcome to suggest a topic. We’re always looking for new ways to expand our boys’ knowledge.

Help with Special Events

Participate in special meals, birthday parties, holidays, festivals, etc. The boys always appreciate it when people from the community come out to support them. To see our upcoming events, click here [insert link to pdf]
